That is entirely your choice. Placing a deposit assures you a pick from our current or upcoming litter. The deposit is non-refundable – because we hold your choice/puppy as if it is sold and turn down other prospective families. The deposit can be transferred however, to another or future litter. With a deposit we send weekly pictures (starting at 3 weeks of age) and updates. At six weeks of age we start contacting people by order of deposit to either pick their puppy out online or set up a time for pick-up/delivery.
We require a $100 - $500 deposit (depending on breed) to hold choice and cannot hold a puppy without one. If you are mailing your deposit let us know - we can hold your choice/puppy for three business days – giving your deposit enough time to get here. The deposit amount is deducted from the total purchase price.  If for some reason we are unable to provide you with a puppy any and all deposits will be returned.

Classic Goldendoodles - $100 deposit

English Goldendoodles - $500 deposit

Standard Poodles - $100 deposit

Yes.  Puppies are eligible for shipment at 8 weeks of age, weather permitting. We ship via American Airlines to any major airport. We prefer a direct flight as this is the least stressful option for the puppies. We get them used to their crate prior to shipment, to make travel easier for them. Puppies that are prepared for shipment do very well and arrive happy and ready to meet their new families.

When we ship it is a six hour round trip drive, because of this we have to set one ship date per litter. Shipping is $350 – that includes a Travel Crate, Health Certificate, and Airfare.  Prices vary for older puppies and other airlines.

We also offer hand delivery.  The first hour there and back is free, but we have to charge $20 an hour round trip for every hour after that. We can meet you halfway, or deliver to your door.  We don’t mind if you only take advantage of the free hour; every little bit helps on a long trip.    ~  Back to the questions

A few photos from our last litter

Yes.  All of our puppies come with a general health guarantee with the option to extend that to a two year genetic defect guarantee.  We will not breed a dog that is not breed standard or premium quality. We have every confidence in the health of our dogs and puppies.

We offer to extend our guarantee to a two year genetic defect guarantee if the new owners keep their puppy on our recommended food and vitamin. We have to require this because so many serious health problems are not just genetic; they are also caused by improper care and poor nutrition during the developmental years. With these nutritional requirements in place we have every confidence in the health and well being of our dogs.    ~  Back to the questions
It has been our experience that our F1 Goldendoodles are very low to non shedding dogs and live easily with families with most allergies. We cannot guarantee them to be non shedding, and likewise as allergies vary so much in severity, we cannot guarantee them to be hypoallergenic. We think that keeping them on a superior food and vitamin helps dramatically with the shedding issue, though.     ~  Back to the questions
Our dogs are sold with AKC limited registration. We provide quality companion/pets only.    ~  Back to the questions
Yes, we believe puppies should be crated at night. A puppy left alone at night, even in a room will get into trouble.  They will soil in your house and chew things that they aren’t supposed to. A puppy needs a safe quiet place of its own. If the crate is the right size, most puppies will not soil in their crate. Being a den animal your puppy will learn to love their crate, it will keep them safe, and they will be easier to housebreak. Click here to see the crates we use and recommend.

Some people are crating their puppies all night and then all day while they are at work or gone. PLEASE make other arrangements for your puppy during the day! This is causing “Crate Aggression” in a growing number of puppies and has become a very serious issue. We recommend gating off a small room (i.e. bathroom, laundry room, etc.), puppy daycare, or using an exercise pen for any time period that is longer than two hours during the day. We want our puppies to have the best possible start to life with his/her new family and over crating is not going to produce those results.

We feed our dogs and puppies twice a day. Our puppy feeding times are 6:30 am and 6:00 pm.  Remember it is much harder to house break a puppy that always has access to a full food bowl.     ~  Back to the questions

* Our puppies are being raised on Life’s Abundance Holistic Pet Food. It is an all stages of life food.  Feeding your puppy anything but high quality dog food will affect their growth.  Studies have shown the lack of proper nutrition contributes to developing hip dysplasia and other serious health problems.  It is not all genetics. All dog foods are NOT created equal. We ensure our puppies get a healthy start, by feeding a high quality food and vitamin.  Visit Langfords Healthy Pets for more information and ordering.

* We also give our dogs a NuVet vitamin each day. This is a powerful antioxidant that gives a tremendous boost to the immune system to prevent skin and coat problems, and creates a defense against over fifty major diseases, including hip and elbow dysplasia, and extending the life span of your dog. This product has made a huge difference with our dogs well being and their coats have never looked better! This can only be ordered by calling 1-800-474-7044, order code # 55967 or by clicking the NuVet Logo below. We want to give our puppies the strongest start possible for a healthy life.

* Our puppies are vaccinated at 6 & 8 weeks with a 5-way (puppy) Parvo vaccine and 11, & 13 weeks with Galaxy DA2PPvL (adult Parvo 7 –way vaccination). We follow our vet’s recommendations. Many vets recommend different schedules for vaccines as well as different vaccines. Please check with your vet for continued vaccines that are required in your area and for scheduling. We also worm our puppies every week from 2 – 8 weeks of age, and every two weeks from 8 weeks on. You will be provided with a shot record that will detail all wormings and vaccinations that your puppy has been given for you to be able to show to your vet.

* The Golden Retriever, Standard Poodle, and Goldendoodle breeds are all very gentle, loving, affectionate animals and it is important that you train accordingly. They need routine and consistency in order for them to learn where to use the bathroom, eat, sleep, etc.  They are so very intelligent that it doesn’t take much training on our part.

* Your puppy will be teething – having lots of chewy toys will save your home and belongings! Puppies should always have something to chew on and several toys of their own. Never take away something they shouldn’t be chewing on without replacing it with something they CAN have.      ~  Back to the top

It is important to remember that a puppy’s body is not mature enough for muscle control of it’s bladder until it is 3 to 4 months of age. Control of the bowels develops faster. All you need for success is patience, consistency, and routine. All puppies need their own secure sleeping area (crate), adjusted to the proper size, the crate will help immensely as puppies won’t use the bathroom in their sleeping area.  Do not give a puppy food and water past 6 pm. Obviously the time can be adjusted if the circumstances warrant (i.e. hot weather, big playtime, etc.) Walk the puppy several times before bedtime, ensuring that the puppy has an empty bladder.  Keep the puppy in sight at all times! Try taking the puppy outside every 20 minutes until you have figured  out their schedule. Give them the command for example “hurry” or “go potty”.

You will need to take your puppy outside:  As soon as the puppy wakes up, right after a puppy eats or drinks, and after 10 - 20 minutes of playtime. It doesn’t take long for a puppy to learn. Make a schedule for “potty time”, playtime, eating, etc.  When you take a puppy outside always tell them “outside” or have them ring the bells. Consistency will win the battle here! If you catch a puppy in the act of having an accident in the house, pick them up and say “no” in a firm tone. NEVER hit a puppy or rub their nose in their mess. This does not teach the puppy anything good or positive. You can show the puppy the pee smelling cloth (after you clean it up) and say "No".  Then lovingly, but firmly take the puppy and the cloth outside. Put the cloth on the ground and say "Go Potty Outside." Let the puppy smell the cloth. Remember to watch your puppy closely and learn to recognize the need for him to go outside.     ~  Back to the questions
